Taylor
Taylor Swift may be the most rare of all pop artists: one capable of effectively bridge the gap between pop and country while sweeping the globe. Swift has thrown off her roots in the country as if it were a second-skin showing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters in her generation. She has the ability to take the zeitgeist of today and turn it into her personal. Swift's first hits, particularly their neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. But her 2008 album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was beginning to discover herself, and finding a large audience. Fearless had a great success not only in the United States, having six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story and the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. It also performed very well across the globe. Speak Now delivered almost two years later and consolidated this success and moved Swift to the heights of superstardom. The next three years, Swift's popularity increased with the release of three albums -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she moved into a realm of pop where her talents were already well-established. In the end, when she refocused her music with the stripped-down releases of 2020, folklore, and Evermore but she was still at the top. It was a position that was confirmed through re-recordings of her previous catalogue as along with Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
