Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer, and singer. An attractive and intelligent actress, she's an inspiration for numerous Asian actors who aspire to make it big in Hollywood. Her fame was boosted by a number of popular early roles in series. The most notable was the Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. Her sudden fame translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. The actress also gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time, she was also in lead roles in some box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia as well as other smaller-screen characters, failed to achieve much success. Southland's critically-acclaimed police drama, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself as an established actor. Liu takes great care when picking her roles to ensure that she is not typecast within a highly competitive industry. While she's very proud of her ethnicity, she does not let that limit her creativity.
