Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been an actor, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than 10 years. She is also the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Originating from Greece she relocated to England when she was sixteen and then completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. A conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she went on to become a voice of the Huffington Post. Her fame helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the former governor Davis. In addition to this she also led the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes listed her 12th in its top 10 list of Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their list of the top 100 in 2010. AOL, Inc. made her the President of their media company in 2011, after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter of Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. Though she was close with her father, it was her relationship with her mother which shaped her character. Even during her formative period, she displayed abilities to lead, and for this her name is still well-known. In her 16th year, she travelled to England for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined Cambridge Union, a college debate group. The third female president and the first foreigner she served as the head of the Cambridge Union. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic, and an anchor on TV. Additionally, she starred alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
