Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actor who is also a director, writer and producer. Anna was born in Fredericton and is the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" born in Britain.
