Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne":" or "pa:dUko:nborn on January 5, 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi film productions. Her awards include the three Filmfare Awards. She is also among the country's most highly paid actors. She features in listings of the nation's most popular personalities; Time named her one of the 100 most influential individuals in the world in 2018, and she was awarded the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter to the badminton world the champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. At the age of 16, she played badminton in National level competitions. She later walked away from her career in the sport to pursue a career as a model. She soon began receiving offers to act in films and her first acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada title character. Padukone played opposite Shah Rukh Khan a dual role for Om Shanti Om, her debut Bollywood film. The film earned her the Filmfare Award as Best Female debut.
